Product Summary
Our architectural standoff systems and tamper-resistant fasteners provide secure, aesthetic mounting solutions for glass, acrylic, and metal signage panels. Engineered for high-traffic public environments and exterior applications, these specialized hardware components elevate the sign panel from the mounting surface while preventing unauthorized removal, vandalism, or tampering.

Technical Specifications
- Material: Machined from solid 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel for superior tensile strength and maximum resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
- Drive Types (Tamper-Resistant Caps): Available in Pin-in-Torx (Security Torx), Spanner (Snake-Eye), and Hex-Pin configurations. Requires specialized matching driver bits for installation and removal.
- Standoff Dimensions: Standard barrel diameters range from 1/2″ (12mm) to 1-1/2″ (38mm). Barrel depths (projection from wall) range from 1/2″ (12mm) to 4″ (100mm).
- Thread Specifications: Standard M8 or M10 metric threading for optimal shear strength.
- Load Bearing Capacity: Up to 50 lbs (22.6 kg) of shear load per individual standoff assembly when anchored properly to a structural substrate.
- Panel Protection: Each assembly includes two transparent, compressible silicone or nylon washers to protect glass or acrylic panels from point-load stress and thermal expansion cracking.
- Finish Options: Brushed Stainless (Standard), Polished Chrome, Matte Black (PVD coated), and Satin Brass (PVD coated).

Mounting & Installation Data
- Substrate Anchoring: Barrels are secured to the wall substrate using #10 or #12 countersunk flat-head screws. Wall anchors must be specified based on the substrate (e.g., toggle bolts for hollow drywall, wedge anchors for solid masonry).
- Panel Drilling: Panel pass-through holes must be drilled with a diameter 1/16″ to 1/8″ larger than the threaded stud to allow for material expansion and contraction.
- Torque Rating: Caps should be seated firmly against the silicone washers. Over-torquing can cause radial stress fractures in acrylic or glass panels.
Maintenance & Operating Environment
Suitable for both interior and harsh exterior environments, including coastal zones (due to 316 stainless steel construction). Hardware should be periodically inspected for secure seating. Cleaning requires only warm water and a mild detergent; abrasive cleaners or wire brushes must be avoided to prevent stripping the passivated layer of the stainless steel.
